Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

I just drove an hour each way from Dallas in 100 degree heat like a crazy person to pick up fantastic native plants you can’t get anywhere else, and it was WORTH IT! I’ve been here before and there is no one else with this incredible selection of native plants in DFW. Also, the owner is very passionate and extremely knowledgeable about all the plants. She has a beautiful garden (as you might expect) and she experiments with the plants herself by testing the limits of their sun requirements, which is how I learned that the Pink Fluffgrass (tridens congestus) I just bought could also likely tolerate some part sun as she has discovered in her experiments, despite what the internet tells us. I had never even heard of pink fluffgrass and it is gorgeous and endemic to our blackland prairie. She has plants like this all the time that no one else has, and I’ve waited and lost out on enough to know I should drive over there and risk planting in the heat because she may not have it in the fall. It’s probably for the best (for my wallet) that I don’t live closer πŸ˜†. All this to say, if you are even a little interested in native plants, do yourself a huge favor and check out Eco Blossom

I've purchased dozens of plants here over the past month as I've been landscaping a barren front yard. The owner has been very professional and kind in all my interactions. Love the mission and charity.

So glad I found this place! It's surprisingly difficult to find a good selection of Texas natives plants in this area, so I was looking up every nursery I found on the map in an attempt to find 4 native varieties I had chosen to redo a flower bed. This nursery had 3 of them (and the 4th was just out of stock), and they just so happened to have an open house scheduled so I made plans to go. Their online inventory was accurate, plants were well organized and easy to find, and all of them looked great. My 4th plant was sourced elsewhere and I was able to complete my project this weekend, which may not have been possible without this place. I will definitely be looking here first for all my future native plant needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to order online.

I get my native plants here, and I love seeing what's currently available on Eco Blossom Nursery's page on Facebook!! Thank you for supporting community and nonprofit orgs like Native Prairies Association of Texas!

Eco Blossom has natives and adapted plants that I have difficulty sourcing near me. It is well worth the drive across the metroplex. I am so grateful for the growers that focus on natives! The plants I purchased last year are thriving on neglect.
